HIKING CATALUNYA

Welcome to Hiking Catalunya. Out of the main holiday season which runs from June to September, you'll find Catalunya refreshingly empty of tourists and cheaper than other European destinations. My wife and I have been hiking this part of Spain since since moving here from the UK and Galicia in 2004 and we are still finding new and exciting places to take our two young children. We run Casa Cal Domino, our 4 bedroom self-catering holiday Villa situated in the Gavarres Massif (a 38,000 Ha national park) overlooking the medieval village of Calonge and its 10th century castle. The Villa is sustainable with solar arrays for domestic hot water, PV panels for pool filtration and electrical power and just 3.5 km from the 27 blue-flagged beaches of the Costa Brava. The Villa has a 4x8 heated infinity pool, exterior Jacuzzi Spa and Sauna and panoramic views over Calonge castle, the Gavarres Massif and the Costa Brava coast. Maximum occupancy is for 8 persons and our registration number with the Catalan Government is HUTG-007677.  We specialise in activity holidays, family holidays, golfing breaks, beach holidays, hiking and walking holidays for all levels of experience and with prior notice, long term winter sun getaways, work from home rentals and skiing holidays. During the winter months when we have warm sunny days but cold nights, the Villa is fully winterised with double glazing throughout, natural gas central heating and a log fireplace for cozy evenings in front of the fire.

The majority of our clients come back year upon year and see Cal Domino as their home away from home in the sun. We have been established since 2004 and now have second generation clients booking with us.
