The Cami de Ronda - Palamós to Calella de Palafrugell.

Updated: Jun 12, 2022

Close to Casa Cal Domino, you'll find our nearest town of Palamós. From here, you can hike the Cami de Ronda to the north through one of the wildest stretches on the coastal path to the picturesque seaside village of Calella de Palafrugell. It's a walk of about 11 km and has a few small climbs and descents as you follow the coastline and is one of the best coastal walks in Catalunya.

We recommend that you park here and climb up to the top of the hills in between Palamós marina and the next village of La Fosca for some wonderful views of the Costa Brava. Once you have passed La Fosca, you come across the little fishing houses at Cala S'Alguer before arriving at Platja Castell. From Castell, climb up to the Iberian ruins and continue along the coastal path via Cala Estreta, Cala Roca Bona, Cala del Crit and Cala Golfet before arriving at Calella de Palafrugell.

Calella de Palafrugell is a lovely little seaside town with dozens of bars and restaurants on the waters edge. It can be a bit touristy in the summer months, but out of season, you won't have a problem finding a restaurant for a long lazy lunch by the sea.

Distance: 11 km (one way)
